Two of the most relevant global organizations linked to the promotion of broadband technologies have announced that they will join forces in a single organization. Broadband Forum and IP / MPLS Forum become a single structure, acting under the name of Broadband Forum.
The intention is to make a greater contribution to the development of high-speed Internet services and standards that guide the industry, managing to broaden the scope of action and available resources.
The new organization will have a more relevant role in the definition of interoperability criteria between network equipment for local access to broadband, advanced mobile solutions, IPTV and other telecommunications solutions with great development potential in the near future, as characterized by George Dobrowski, president Broadband Forum, speaking to the international press.
Combined, their organizations represent 220 companies, most of them very relevant in the telecommunications and electronics sector.
