German authorities are monitoring 987 individuals, suspected of spreading child pornography over the Internet to 98 countries. Police have already confiscated more than a thousand computers, 1,800 videos and about 45,000 data storage devices, writes Reuters.

The investigations began two years ago, when police authorities detected videos on the network where children were victims of sexual abuse. The content in question was the target of more than 48 thousand monthly visits, which led to the analysis of some data on calls and access to videos.

Police sources reported that, among distributors and buyers, several dozen people have already been arrested in connection with the operation and that investigations are being extended to other regions, with 65 people already in Poland, 53 in Turkey, 38 in Australia and 80 in the Asian continent to be investigated.
