Gears of War 4 will be the fifth title in the renowned third-person shooter franchise: Gears of War. The game that is developed by The Coalition and is expected to hit the market this year 2016 will possibly be an exclusive to the Xbox one (there are rumors that it can be played on the PC too).
Its story will take place 25 years after Gears of Wars 3 and will present a new trio of protagonists. In addition to the traditional single and multiplayer modes, the new title will also have the local cooperative mode, supporting 2 players. We didn’t know much about the new game, but Game Informer magazine did a 14-page story on Gears of Wars 4 and has already released some of what can be found in the magazine, as you can see below.
The future where the story of Gears of War 4 will take place will be a world plagued by windstorms that radically change the battlefield. According to the story, the game that will return to its darkest roots brings three new playable characters. You must be wondering about the protagonists. The main one is JD Fenix. He is simply the son of the legendary Marcus Fenix, hero of the Gears of Wars trilogy. The boy is an idealist who ran away from home to join the COG (Coalition of Ordered Governments) militia. His father, Sergeant Marcus Fenix, was a soldier in that army.
JD is voiced by the actor Liam McIntyre who participated in the Spartacus and The Flash series.
It’s scary because I’m the protagonist in a new era of Gears, which is unbelievable, incredible and exciting. I am the legacy, because my father is Marcus Fenix. JD is a soldier and a bit of a freedom fighter, and at heart he is a bit of a renegade. He is different from Marcus, but he is still that heroic archetype.
Kait Diaz was born and raised outside the walled cities that protect most people, his parents were leaders of that group of people (Outsiders). Kait is not from COG, but is a survivor who has great skills and befriends JD.
Kait’s voice acting is done by the actress Laura Bailey who has participated in the voiceovers of games like BioShock Infinite, Street Fighter V (Chun-Li), Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, Halo 5: Guardians, Mad Max, Batman: Arkham Knight and so on. 
Delmont “Del” Walker it is just like JD a former COG soldier. Delmont is an orphan and became friends with JD when both were studying at a boarding school. When JD ran off to join COG, Walker went with him. For reasons we don’t yet know, Delmont will also be involved in the incident that changes the lives of the two friends and forces them to flee to Sera, seeking refuge with the Forsaken.
The actor who lends Delmont his voice is Eugene Byrd. Byrd filmed 8 Mile: Rua das Ilusões, participated in series like True Blood, Bones, Green Arrow and dubbed the game Battlefield Hardline.
