Sapo opens laboratory at the University of Aveiro

The manufacturer of navigation systems announced the entry of new software, the Garmin Mobile XT, aimed at smartphones with GPS system. The Garmin application brings with it a series of predefined maps included in a microSD, allowing users to navigate anywhere in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Europe.

After the microSd is inserted in the smartphone, the application starts to run automatically allowing the user to access a wide variety of features, such as information about the state of the traffic in the location to which it is going, fuel prices in the city, among other useful features for who is traveling.

THE software it is compatible with devices that support Windows Mobile, Symbian or BlackBerry. Compatibility with other GPS devices is expected soon.

The Garmin Mobile XT is available for $ 99 and is designed based on maps produced by Navteq, a company acquired by Nokia.
