Adobe confirmed earlier this week that it plans to release a new version of Flash Player for the Android 4.0 platform, aka Ice Cream Sandwich, by the end of this year.
The company announced a few days ago that it would discontinue mobile technology.
“Adobe will release yet another version of Flash Player for mobile browsing, which will provide support for Android 4.0, and the launch of the Flash Porting Kit for Linux – both to be released before the end of this year. After that time, Adobe will continue to provide only critical fixes and security updates. ”
With Flash coming to the new version of Android, users of the Google platform will still be able to take advantage of the technology, through the installation by Android Market, if they need it.
