YouTube Music Premium and YouTube Premium arrive in Brazil

In further evidence that, in general, the Google have a much greater willingness to bring our services as soon as possible to our dear republic than a certain apple, the mountain view giant announced today the arrival to the Brazil of the two newest paid services of its video platform the YouTube Music Premium it's the YouTube Premium, which were announced just over four months ago.

As we have already commented, YouTube Music Premium is Google's new music service based entirely on its video platform. Service subscribers will have access to the entire library of music, music videos, remixes, live performances and full albums, all without ads and with the ability to download content for offline access and background playback.

YouTube Music Premium

The idea of Music Premium over time fighting with Apple Music and Spotify replace the Google Play Music, which will soon be discontinued. This has not happened yet because some of the features of the older service such as the user's music vault are not yet found in the new product, and Google wants to make an almost imperceptible transition to the fact that users of Play Music won't lose any features or playlists.

Still, several of the features of Play Music are already present here, such as artificial intelligence features that suggest content according to the moment of your day and its location. It's also worth noting that subscribers to the older service have access to YouTube Music Premium and will be able to access both services while the first one is still available.

YouTube Premium, in turn, is the broader version of Music Premium. Here you have access to the music service but offline, ad-free and background access is not limited to music videos only the entire YouTube content can be enjoyed that way. In addition, the service (formerly known as “YouTube Red”) provides access to the platform's original productions such as “Kobra Cai”, all subtitled in Portuguese; YouTube usually also invests in national productions and soon we should see Brazilian series there.

Speaking of prices, Google is not far from its main competitors. YouTube Music Premium costs $ 17 monthly, with a family plan (up to six people) of R $ 26 per ms; Users who want to try the service have three free months for that (or a month, in the family plan). YouTube Premium, in turn, costs $ 21 monthly, with a family plan of R $ 32 per month and Google also offers three free months for testing (and again, a month in the family plan).

YouTube Music Premium accessed from the app YouTube Music, which is already available on the Brazilian App Store, please note that the app can be used for free, but you have a similar YouTube experience with ads, no downloads or background playback. YouTube Premium, in turn, is used in the platform's own flagship app.

Who will give the newcomers a chance?
