The application YouTube to the Apple TVs (fourth generation and 4K) received a completely new look for the set-top-box of Ma, this.

Generally speaking, it does not appear that the app was made for an Apple TV, but rather to create a uniformity found on other devices; even so, there are positive and negative points in this new design, with which we will need to adapt.
However, it seems that the renovation was really just visual; even if the video “4K” appears on some video, this resolution is not yet available on the Apple TV app; therefore, when you play a video at maximum resolution, you can only achieve the maximum resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels (aka Full HD).
The new YouTube version for tvOS is available now; if the automatic update option is not selected on your Apple TV, simply find YouTube on the App Store and update it to uninstall and install the app again.
