Young man gets trapped under car and manages to call for help thanks to Siri

We've seen people recovering their iPhones thanks to the Find My iPhone feature, the iPhone 5c that saved the life of a 25-year-old (the device muffled a shotgun blast), among others. Now another one of these happened: Sam Ray, an 18 year old boy from Tennessee, told NBC such as Crab saved your life.

He was trying to fix his car when suddenly the hydraulic jack (tool that helps to lift the car for changing tires and other repairs) broke and he was stuck with nothing less than 2,200 kilos on top of him. Luckily, while he was trying to get out from under the car and because of the pressure, since the iPhone was in his pocket, Siri was activated and he quickly asked her to call 911.

When the police answered, he started shouting that he was trapped under the car. At first they doubted, thinking it was a hoax. But then they saw that it was serious. Ray was shouting the address he was on to help the police; firefighters then arrived at the scene and managed to remove Ray, who stayed there for about 40 minutes.

I think I'm stuck with the iPhone for the rest of my life. I owe it to them (Apple).

Result: broken ribs, a bruised kidney, cuts, a concussion and burns on his arm which could have been much worse, had he not been able to call for help quickly.

Good, Siri!
