Xperia 1.1 may bring the same set of cameras as the Galaxy S20

We know that the Galaxy S20 line was presented last Tuesday (11). In addition to bringing cutting-edge specifications, which include the Snapdragon 865 processor and up to 16GB of RAM, all three models promise to deliver amazing cameras.

Now, information points out that Sony wants to compete strongly with Samsung in terms of photographic quality, to the point of Xperia 1.1 (or Xperia 2), its next top-of-the-line smartphone, reaching the market with the same sensors as the Galaxy S20.

After the cancellation of MWC 2020 due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Japanese giant plans to make this device official at a conference on February 24. If we think about it, Sony's decision to copy the same sensors as the Galaxy S20 brings no originality and can be a reason for criticism for many people.

On the other hand, this means that the Xperia 1.1 should deliver considerably better photographic performance than its predecessors, being able to register good sales and help Sony's smartphone sector, which has been suffering losses for a long time. Another similarity to the Galaxy S20 would be support for 8K video recording.

So far, the known differences revolve around the OLED display with 4K resolution and 21: 9 cinema aspect. At the same event for Xperia 1.1, Sony is also expected to present Xperia 5, its new intermediary with a Snapdragon 765G processor.

Obviously, this information has not been confirmed by the company, so we need to wait for other leaks that corroborate all of this.
