Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 announced with slider and screen that covers 93% of the front of the device

If some newer smartphones have opted for the "notch" style of screen to gain a little more screen space without disturbing the location of the front camera, Xiaomi went beyond and made a slider smartphone with a screen that occupies up to 93% of the front of the device.

Compared to the Mi Mix 2S, the newcomer is up to 4.5mm thinner at the bottom of the 6.4 inch AMOLED screen. The Full HD + display with 2340×1080 resolution at 19.5: 9 and 403 PPI.

Design

As the design was what allowed such a large screen, it is important to talk about it. The slide, lift and retract functionality of the camera is not just for making the camera apparent.

Movement can also be configured to perform some function, such as making calls and opening applications. In addition, you can choose a custom sound for the smartphone to play when the action is performed.

Camera

The Mi Mix 3's rear camera is dual, following a strong market trend of expanding the number of cameras on the back of smartphones. One differential is the ability to record at up to 960fps as shown in the video below.

It is made up of two 12MP cameras, one wide-angle f / 1.8 aperture and one f / 2.4 telephoto. This allows for a wider range of photos for the user and apparently the photos are of a good quality.

According to the DxOMark score of 103, this model has a camera as good as the Galaxy Note 9 and only loses by two points for the iPhone Xs. The best camera ever scored on the Huawei P20 website with 109 points.

And also, following the trend of most smartphones, The Mi Mix 3 does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack.
