Xiaomi Mi 4i vs. Nexus 5 – Design
Nexus 5 is a solid sheet of screen with sharp edges and a housing made of lightly rubberized matt plastic. The front of the device is very reminiscent of the LG G2, while the back is reminiscent of the Nexus 7 tablet. The rather conservative and minimalist design of the Nexus 5, however, the device is quite ergonomic and can be easily handled with just one hand.
The power button is positioned on the right side while the volume buttons are on the left side. The bottom houses the micro USB port, and a small mono speaker. The front part features the approach and movement sensors, plus a camera and a notification LED.
The back features the device camera, LED flash and Nexus description inserted vertically. The bottom houses the logo of LG, the maker of the device in partnership with Google, and some inscriptions and certifications. The device is solid and guarantees a solid grip when used.
Xiaomi Mi 4i has a different approach, with straight lines and more striking colors. The device is not surrounded by an aluminum bezel like the Xiaomi Mi4, but delivers a well-polished, seamless look. The back has a slightly rounded surface at its ends, making the device more ergonomic.
The Xiaomi Mi 4i is a dual-SIM smartphone. In the dedicated SIM drawer on the left side of the device, two cards can be inserted. All physical buttons are located on the right side of the device, and at the bottom is positioned the micro USB connection. The rear houses the camera accompanied by the LED flash, and the bottom is centered the device speaker.
