THE Xiaomi launched a retractable bluetooth speaker called Elvis Presley Atomic Player B612, which comes with a look inspired by an old record player and a very small size.
The product is currently part of a campaign on the manufacturer's crowdfunding website. It is packed with technological features including the ability to connect to wireless networks and stream music from streaming services like Apple music and QQ Music.
As a product targeted at the Chinese market, you need to download the app. OhPlay App to use the full capabilities of the device. To complete the feature list, the Atomic Player B612 even comes with built-in FM radio (compatible with 120KHz – 20KHz frequencies).
The bluetooth speaker has a housing made of a zinc-aluminum alloy finished in a retr green color and silver parts. The battery is 400mAh, which according to the company is sufficient to last up to 7 hours on a single charge. It can be recharged via the device's MicroUSB connector.
The player measures 63 x 47 x 30mm and weighs 130g. Inside the box is a small pouch for carrying it, a security cable and a braided cable for carrying it. The device costs CNY 249 ($ 150 in direct conversion) and starts shipping to consumers on September 22.
