Xiaomi registra patente de smartphone com tela frente e verso

Xiaomi files patent for dual-screen smartphone

A new smartphone patent was recently published by Xiaomi on WIPO, the body responsible for the registration and protection of international intellectual property. Taking advantage of the product descriptions made by the Chinese company in the published document, the website LetsGoDigital wondered what we can expect if something from the registry is to be manufactured.

The document mentions two possibilities of two-sided display, one of them follows the concept already presented in Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha, but with a slight difference, the screen does not expand on both sides as the model already presented, follows and extends to the right of the device.

Already the second phone, found as "model B", has a screen that surrounds the device but extends from the top base, vertically. The rear camera is surrounded by a screen which may seem a little strange at first, but looking closely you get used to it.

It means nothing to point out that the two phones do not have front camera, since it has screen on both sides and this would simplify things by making the main camera the only one. None of the patents indicate buttons, which is quite curious and should reinforce the feature of the presence of a large screen.

New Xiaomi Patent for Mobile Phone with up to 7 Sensor Pop-up Camera

Compared to Mi Mix Alpha, these two new models can stand out because they look a little simpler from a manufacturing standpoint. While these are not arriving, Xiaomi announces that the device announced last year is ready for mass production. Nevertheless, the Mi Mix Alpha did not receive a release date.

We also recently mentioned a curious Xiaomi patent that shows a retractable screen device that warms all cameras, freeing up more screen space and avoiding the bulge generated by the camera at the rear. Despite bringing a rather curious design, the recent record is still not possible to know if the company will do something like that.
