Apple today announced, with great anticipation, that the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2017 be held in San Jose (California, United States), June 5-9. The event since 2003 (!) Was held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
The 28th edition of Ma's annual developer event will take place at the McEnery Convention Center (just minutes from the new headquarters in Cupertino, by the way) and, as always, bring great news to the company's four major platforms: iOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS.
As in years past, WWDC 2017 gives developers the opportunity to connect with more than 1,000 Apple engineers over the course of an entire week to address news in the Swift language and APIs /frameworks such as SiriKit, HomeKit, HealthKit and CarPlay.
From March 27 (at 3 pm, at the time of Braslia), interested developers will be able to register to compete for tickets to the event, which will be raffled. To apply, you must be a member of the Apple Developer Program or the Apple Developer Enterprise Program; Apple also offers scholarships for students, details of which will be released shortly.
WWDC 2017's capacity, even in the new space, should be the same as in previous years: about 5,000 participants. For developers who are unable to attend, the conference will be broadcast live, online.
