WordPress gets an official Mac app

The famous blog publishing and hosting system / service WordPress (exactly what we use here in ) I already have an iOS app, but yesterday it officially arrived on the Mac.

Yes, now I no longer need to use the browser to update their sites on OS X! 😉

WordPress on OS X

Available for free for download, WordPress for Mac is compatible with both sites hosted on WordPress and independent sites (self-hosted). In this case, you just need to have the Jetpack plugin installed.

The editor interface is very simple and straightforward, just as it does on iOS. It should serve most bloggers well, but for sites a little more complex like ours, which make use of special plugins and customizations in the WordPress editor, it gets a little complicated. an evil that actually afflicts any external editor, even if they break a good branch and are generally very fast.

Based on the open source project Calypso, written in JavaScript, WordPress for OS X is just the first of the desktop apps that Automattic intends to launch. Soon, Windows and Linux users will also gain their own customers.
