WordPress announces integration with Google Photos

WordPress today announced a new feature that allows you to import photos and videos from Google Photos to WordPress.com blogs or via the Jetpack plugin in independent installations.

Starting today, you can browse, search and copy photos from your Google account directly to your blog posts and pages, ”says Automattic, owner of WordPress.

“Once you’re signed in, the WordPress.com Media Library will display your recent Google photos. Select the image you want to use, click the Insert button and the poof! The image will be copied to your Media Library and inserted into your post ”.

Just like searching Google Photos, you can also search for things through the WordPress interface, for example, allowing you to find cat photos in your Google account.

For those using paid plans on WordPress.com, such as Premium or Business, it will be possible to display videos directly from the Photos account.
