iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, side by side, during the Apple launch event in September 2017
THE Apple unveiled this Wednesday, 15, a new model of iPhone: with prices starting from R $ 3.7 thousand in Brazil, iPhone SE is seen by analysts as a "more accessible" option for the company's devices. Traditionally, every time Apple launches a new phone, it also removes some line models. The "victims" this time are the iPhones 8 and 8 Plus, which have already left the company's official store in Brazil.
Until last Tuesday, 14th, they were sold here for prices between R $ 3.4 thousand (iPhone 8, with 64 GB of storage) and R $ 4.3 thousand (iPhone 8 Plus, with 128 GB of storage ).
The exchange has its justification: when analyzing the specifications of the two devices, the new iPhone SE has practically the same design as the iPhone 8, including the digital recognition button Touch ID and the screen with bigger edges, but with a different heart, with the A13 Bionic processor, also used by the company's latest smartphones. The camera, in turn, also brings updates to its software.
The departure of the iPhones 8 and 8 Plus from the Apple store, however, does not mean that they will no longer be found in the country's retailers. Retailers tend to remain with the models on sale while stocks last. It may be the chance to find cheaper devices, while it is important to consider that they will become "obsolete", without updates to the Apple system, more quickly.
