Wikipedia, a free encyclopedia containing more than 20 million articles in 280 languages, announced this weekend the launch of an official application for the Android platform.

In addition to the possibility of saving an article to read later (or offline), the program also has the possibility to search for articles based on their location, switch between languages ​​and an option to share the content.

The application is available for free download from the Android Market and requires Android 2.2 Froyo or higher. According to data from the Google store, more than 100 thousand people have already installed the program in 24 hours.
