Apart from sharing your own location, the resource on the Internet offers the same functions as the mobile application. The location opens within the conversation window, where you can see the contact's displacement on the integrated map. It is allowed to switch the map display to satellite, terrain and traffic modes and change the display time.
By clicking on the contact's image, the social network shows the positioning accuracy in meters and allows you to get directions to the address in a new Google Maps tab. When the time for sharing location ends or the contact manually cancels the function, WhatsApp Web warns that it will no longer be possible to track the trajectory.
Real-time location lets you tell friends exactly where you are. The location indicator moves as the user moves around the city and shows for 15 minutes, 1 hour or 8 hours. The information can be displayed to a specific person or to everyone and can be disabled at any time.
