WhatsApp has instability and does not download files or images on Wednesday (1), according to reports from Twitter users.
The messaging app for Android and iPhone (iOS) has problems with downloading media sent by both the app and WhatsApp Web, which has generated a peak of more than 15,000 complaints on Downdetector, a site that monitors the status of digital services, from 18h (time in Braslia).
Other applications from Mark Zuckerberg's company, such as Instagram and Facebook, are also facing instability at the moment with the loading of media on social networks.

According to the Downdetector's reporting map, the WhatsApp flaw mainly affects Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina and parts of Europe.
Suspected error on the company's servers, since the services had a sudden increase in demand during the quarantine.
Facebook, owner of WhatsApp, informed the dnetc that "earlier today, some people may have had problems viewing images in our applications due to a network error.
This issue has been resolved and the applications are functioning normally".

According to Downdetector, complaints about problems with WhatsApp started from 18h.
The most common reports on Twitter indicate that users face difficulties in downloading audio, images and stickers sent in groups or privately.
The flaw affects both the mobile app version and WhatsApp Web for computers.
Users are able to send and receive audio, but the voice message is not automatically downloaded, as usual.
Instead, when tapping the download option, WhatsApp displays the message "Couldn't download audio".
The same happens with uploading photos on WhatsApp.
Stickers also show an error when downloading, with the alert "Download failed" when receiving a contact sticker.
The sticker drawer also does not load, which prevents its sending.

On WhatsApp Web, audio, images and stickers also fail to load.
In the case of the desktop version of the messenger, the application does not display an error message and does not even load the photo when touching the download option.
