According to the site, cross-platform support would allow using the same WhatsApp on an iPad and an iPhone; on two phones, one Android and one iOS; or just on your computer, without having to keep your phone connected. WhatsApp Web would go as a secondary option when the app is not installed, still requiring the phone always on the Internet.
Using WhatsApp on two devices at the same time can mean changes to the application security technology. Today's app end-to-end encryption protects only data trafficked between one device of each user of the conversation. WhatsApp does not back up to a cloud itself and therefore does not allow you to log in to multiple devices simultaneously.
Telegram works differently. In it, the ordinary chats have lighter encryption, which can be decrypted on the company's servers, which stores the data and allows to log in and retrieve the history on various devices that would have been precisely the feature exploited by the alleged hackers of Minister Srgio Moro. In the app created by Russians, the encryption currently used by WhatsApp exclusive to secret chat and s works on one device at a time.
O WABetaInfo famous for confirming new WhatsApp features before launch. Employees behind the portal would have access to people working on the application development. In April 2017, the blog correctly predicted the announcement of WhatsApp Business, the messenger business version that would only be official in September of that year.
