WhatsApp is optimized for iPhone XS Max for continuous audio playback [atualizado]

Facebook has just released an update to Whatsapp optimizing the messenger for the 6.5 inch big screen iPhone XS Max. In addition, iOS users have been given some interesting new features, including: redesigned action menu, continuous playback of voice messages and more media options to answer contact status!

With respect to the action menu, in previous versions of WhatsApp, while tapping and holding for a specific message, a horizontal menu was displayed with options for forwarding, copying, replying, etc. In this update, this menu has been completely redesigned and is now displayed vertically, highlighting the message you have selected.

Regarding the playback of voice messages, in this update it is possible to play multiple audio files in sequence (at once), without having to select them one by one. In addition, new response options were added to user status messages with documents, voice messages, location and contacts before, it was possible to send only images, GIFs or videos.

O WABetaInfo also discovered in the code alpha of the new version that future features of WhatsApp will include a Dark mode and the ability to view videos from notifications, as already done with images and GIFs.

As you can see, the incoming message balloons get darker and the outgoing message balloons have taken on a new shade of green. O WABetaInfo He pointed out, however, that WhatsApp chose to use these colors now, but that appearance could change until the official release. For now, there is no information on when this feature will be available.

More news coming directly from WABetaInfo!

Still in stage alpha, WhatsApp is beginning to implement support for Touch / Face ID.

Enabling the feature within the app's "Privacy" area then adds a security layer that requires biometric authentication every time the app is opened.

Everything is still under development and, as always, may not be implemented anytime soon or even discarded (although this option does not make much sense). But there's more good news!
