WhatsApp has received new emojis and redesigns on its old stickers for users of Android phones. What's new is the first major update of messenger symbols on platforms running the Google operating system. The release includes six smiley faces: smiling with three hearts, warmth, frozen, pleading, confusing and festive. Also on the list are various named animals, such as swan, kangaroo and llama, and mango, cupcake and bagel food.
The set is part of the Unicode 11.0 package, which was also released for Apple's iPhone (iOS). In total 157 new emojis were announced. The figures are available in WhatsApp version 2.19.7 or later. With the arrival of images, users have more options to express themselves virtually, creatively and funny, which can increase engagement in the social network.

Android emojis also include superheroes and villains in both female and male versions. Other novelties are the emojis that represent a part of the human body, such as foot, leg and tooth. In addition, objects from the scientific universe were added: hand, test tube and DNA strand. The update also brought icons of exercise such as lacrosse. The new set of images also features various symbols such as bear, chess piece, puzzle piece, broom and toilet paper.
The highlight of the changes made to the stickers are on the Mauritanian flag. Symbol of the African country, the banner now includes two red stripes at the top and bottom edges. The new look reflects the result of the 2017 referendum, in which about 85% of Mauritanian citizens supported the changes of the national anthem and flag. The redesign of older emojis for Android is more subtle. For example, the silly face (called "Zany Face") now has a tongue in place of the wide smile.
