WhatsApp down? App faces instability in Brazil | Social networks

WhatsApp is down and faces instability late on Thursday (16). The app stopped working around 6:20 pm in Brazil and other South American countries, according to the Down Detector website. The problem was noticed by owners of Android and iPhone (iOS) phones, as well as WhatsApp Web.

On Twitter, users complain of difficulties sending and receiving messages, as well as downloading images, videos and audio. The app displays the "Searching for new messages" notification and, in some cases, sent messages remain with the clock icon beside them, indicating that the contact has not received them. In addition to WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram also showed instability tonight. The three applications belong to Facebook, which has not yet commented on the problem.

According to the Down Detector website, which reports problems with online services, WhatsApp went down around 18:20 on Thursday. Most of the complaints made by users are concentrated in Brazil and other countries in South America. According to them, the app has failed access and sending messages. The problem happens when using the Internet via Wi-Fi and also over 3G or 4G networks.
