The site also indicates the possible reasons for the changes made in beta 2.19.47, responsible for modifying the "Settings" section of WhatsApp. The main assumption is that the intention was to make it compatible with night mode the only item that appears modified so far. This points to the need to adapt the colors so that the entire interface of the device matches the darker screen which promises to reduce battery consumption.
From the images released by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp's night mode in the test version brings the function titles (such as "Settings") in white, while the icons get a dark green tone the same as that applied to the main sections of the section. The idea is to generate a contrast with the gray color of the device screen. Under these conditions, compared to the look of iOS, the static change of Android does not offer an OLED-friendly composition, but is based on a very dark gray color.

As for the access feature to the platform conversations, the messenger will require the use of the fingerprint if the user chooses to enable this function in privacy settings. The action is part of a WhatsApp effort to offer more protection to shared content in chat, as it prevents unauthorized people from spying on it. Interested parties can also set the software lock time to "Immediately", "After 1 Minute", "After 10 Minutes" or "After 30 Minutes" as needed. It is worth remembering that the news has no prediction of launch even for Beta users.

Another function that comes along with night mode is sending title audio files in conversations. The function is currently under development and so there is no release date for the official WhatsApp platform.
