WhatsApp is testing a way for users to notify friends about changing their phone number. With the novelty, the application starts to communicate friends automatically, without the person using a transmission list. Currently, groups are already warning when a participant makes the switch.
The feature is only available for the test version of the Android application. It is not yet known when it will be released to all smartphone owners with the Google system, as well as to iPhone owners (iOS).

The update increases the options for changing the phone registered on WhatsApp, allowing you to notify contacts after the change. The process continues to be carried out in the same way. The difference is in the option Notify my contacts, which appears after the user enters the new number.
The tool provides the following possibilities for those who warn about the exchange of telephone numbers:
- All contacts.
- Contacts the person is currently chatting with.
- Manual list of friends who should receive the notice.
