1. Send the message to the wrong conversation

Probably every WhatsApp user got confused and sent some message to the wrong conversation, amid so many open chats in the messenger. If the content of the text is personal, the error can have serious consequences. The situation can be avoided using the erase message feature, available in the messenger since 2017.

To delete a message, press the message sent by mistake and tap the trash can icon at the top right of the screen, on Android, or at the bottom, for the iPhone. Then choose the option "Delete for all". Remember that the app only allows you to delete messages sent in the previous seven minutes.

2. Make typos

Another common faux pas among WhatsApp users to make typos. This can happen when the user accidentally types letters, numbers or symbols that are not part of the message context, since the characters are close to each other. It is possible to prevent these errors by activating the automatic broker.

To activate the broker on Android, go to your phone's settings and tap "System". Then, search for the option "Language and input" and press "Advanced". Then, tap "Spell checker" to activate the feature.

In the case of the iPhone, go to iOS "Settings" and tap "General". Look for the option "Keyboard" and activate the options "Automatic correction" and "Check spelling". With this, the application will automatically correct some flaws.

3. Send a wrong sticker

The WhatsApp stickers became a fever among users at the beginning of 2019 and still continue to be successful in the messenger. There are stickers of different themes and models, which allows for more fun and lighter conversations between friends.

I must, however, be careful when sending stickers. Sending a relaxed figure to the work group during a serious matter, for example, may not be desirable. The tip in this case is to pay attention to the contact to which you intend to send the sticker, since the application does not display a confirmation message before sending.

5. Send audio before you finish speaking

Accidentally sending emails before finishing speaking something that usually happens to many WhatsApp users. When recording a voice message, it may happen that the person releases the microphone button, and the content ends up being sent to the contact before it is finished. To avoid this situation, WhatsApp provides a "lock" on the audio recording tool.

In a conversation, tap the microphone icon and hold until the lock icon appears on the screen. To lock, drag your finger to it. Take your finger off the screen and record as much as you want. When finished, tap on the send button to send the audio. You can dismiss the message by tapping "Cancel". The tip works on Android phones and iPhone (iOS).
