What is the best series of Android smartphones?

When a product succeeds, manufacturers often take advantage of the brand and good reputation to launch other devices with varying degrees of resemblance to the original. Over time, whole families are created, lasting series and with a captive audience. So today we want your opinion: what is the best smartphone series in the Android universe?

Samsung Galaxy S: the amount

Samsung is probably one of the manufacturers that covers the widest spectrum of public, and that launches more varied products. In fact, when it comes to the smartphone market, the company uses a somewhat polemical tactic: trial and error. She is accused of throwing devices in droves and observing which one is successful. Nevertheless, it is undeniable that South Korea has families of interesting devices. The Galaxy S series is one of the oldest and most complete Android sagas. It covers most budgets (although it focuses more on the middle and upper ranges) and, above all, has sizes to suit all tastes. S was missing a tablet, but this was resolved with the arrival of the Galaxy Tab S. In addition, although the new representative Galaxy S5 does not impress some, the line has a big star, absolute bestseller: the Galaxy S3.

<h2 id=Google Nexus: Few But Good

The best proof of the success of this line was the public's relief and joy when Google confirmed that the series will not be extinguished, and that a Nexus 6 will be released this year. About a new line called Android Silver, we have neither the confirmation nor the denial of Big G.

The truth is that the Nexus are few, only three smartphones and two tablets (one, Nexus 7, reissued last year), but all very good. They are convincing for their value for money and their pure Android interface. In addition, the fact that Google changes its manufacturer from time to time also gives a variety of special line. Last but not least: One of the biggest advantages of Nexus getting operating system updates first of all!

nexus "sizes =" (max-width: 806px) calc (100vw - 24px), (max-width: 995px) 782px, (max-width: 1216px) calc (2 * (100vw - 30px) / 3) + 15px - 24px), 782px "src =" https://fscl01.fonpit.de/userfiles/4202397/image/julio-2014/nexus-w628.jpg "srcset =" https://fscl01.fonpit.de/userfiles/ 4202397 / image / julio-2014 / nexus-w628.jpg 628w, https://fscl01.fonpit.de/userfiles/4202397/image/julio-2014/nexus-w596.jpg 596w, https://fscl01.fonpit. by / userfiles / 4202397 / image / julio-2014 / nexus-w450.jpg 450w, https://fscl01.fonpit.de/userfiles/4202397/image/julio-2014/nexus-w336.jpg 336w, https: // fscl01.fonpit.de/userfiles/4202397/image/julio-2014/nexus-w300.jpg 300w "class =" lazyload "/>

<h2 id=Sony Xperia: Beauty for the Mid Range

If we talk about mid range, Sony is the beauty queen. Of course the Xperia series also has excellent upscale devices (vide Xperia Z2), and even some awesome tablets (vide the Xperia Z2 Tablet). What draws attention, however, is that it maintains the general lines of the design elegant of its high end devices also in the other categories. Long live, therefore, Xperia series visual line, which should soon look for letters in alphabets other than Latin (the letters are running out).

<h2 id=LG Optimus: An Extinct Line

With the G2, LG has changed course. The manufacturer started a new family, and the surname Optimus disappeared. But that's not all: visual language has also changed, and for the better, winning fans around the world. The age of the boats on the back was beginning. But let's focus now on the missing line, because with two copies and their minis we still can't properly call the G series. The Optimus, in fact, was made up of countless devices, almost all with average specs and reasonable prices (remember we are talking about a pre-Moto G era here). Even discontinued, the series still appears in the catalogs of stores and operators, with reasonable sales. At least for me, however, this series lacks personality to earn my best vote on Android.

<h2 id=HTC One: No hurry, no break

It's not so traditional, but the HTC One Series has won its audience (unfortunately opening up the domestic market). With a well-delineated strategy, HTC is not about quantity, but about the quality and regularity of its releases. It's been a long time since the legs have gone down, the Taiwanese manufacturer is now starting to make a profit again, and the main reason for that is the One line. phablet that went unnoticed and two minis that do not make ugly.

<h2 id=Huawei Ascend: The Chinese Ascension

Good prices and good quality mark this series of the Asian giant. The line Ascend This is one of the best proofs that the Chinese have come to get traditional manufacturers out of their comfort zone, convulsing the global smartphone market. Starting with cheap, low-end devices, Ascend now also bets on high ends with specifications that they owe nothing to other flagships (vide the Huawei Ascend P7). With a very distinctive design between different categories, the Ascend line is, in my opinion, lacking visual unity (and overly inspired by the look of the iPhone).

And before anyone asks, it doesn't include Motorola's "Moto" for presenting so far only 3 copies released over the course of a year and a half. With a few more models, however, will be a strong contender for the title of best series of Android.
