What and how does Buser work? Learn all about the bus app | Productivity

Buser is an application that offers the service of buying bus tickets for intercity trips. Available for download on Android or iOS (iPhone) phones, the system has gained visibility in recent months because of the prices offered, the fare charged for the ticket in the app is much lower than the one charged for the traffic in the windows and highway sites. The promise is a savings of up to 60%. The most favorable cost is only possible due to what its developers call collaborative chartering.

Through this technology, the passenger can register for the service, join a travel group to the selected destination and dates, and secure a seat on the bus chartered by Buser. The value of the non-fixed ticket: It is defined based on the number of people interested in the same route, since the total value of the freight service is divided by each of the users. For those who want to know more about the platform, the TechTudo gathered the main features about Buser's operation below.

1. How does collaborative chartering work?

Buser, known for offering bus fares below the market, uses the collective charter method to guarantee the lowest fare to users. As the application is not linked to any road, the trips are made by charter buses, which are hired by Buser. Another purpose of the app is to bring together the largest number of people interested in the same route to share the cost of rented transportation.

Collective charter, therefore, is a system of apportioning the total cost of contracting charter among the passengers of the trip (which make up the so-called travel groups). A trip through Buser can only be made when a travel group has a minimum number of paying passengers.

In the app, the user can check how likely a group is to confirm a trip. The estimate is made according to the search volume for the itinerary, number of bookings relative to the remaining days for the trip, number of interested on the way back, and even availability of the charter company. The cost of the ticket is greatly reduced compared to the ticket sold on highways because it is currently more economical to charter a transport and divide its total value between the maximum number of passengers allowed.

2. What are the companies behind the shipping?

As a technology company that aims to bring together people interested in the same route, as well as hiring a transport to make such trips, Buser does not have its own fleet. The application partners with charter bus companies to offer their services and as soon as the company supports itself, with commissions paid by the contracted firms.

According to the app's website, all Buser partner companies are regular and have federal authority authorizations such as the National Land Transportation Agency (ANTT) to travel. The company is also responsible for the quality of the hired vehicles the transport needs to be audited to be part of the platform. Items such as vehicle age and bus maintenance history are evaluated.

3. How to schedule a trip through the app?

To request a trip through Buser, I need to download the app, available from the Google Play Store and the App Store. Registration can be done through email, mobile or Facebook account. I need to provide data such as full name, email, phone and create a password for the app. In the first registration, the user earns $ 10 in buedas (the currency of the application) to use in travel.

The origin and destination of the trip, as well as the date for the journey, can be found on the platform's home screen. With this information, the user can see if there are already travel groups for the desired time if they do not exist, it is possible to create one, how many reservations have already been made and which trips are already confirmed. It is not possible to choose the seats on the bus, as they are set only at the time of boarding.

When choosing an itinerary, I need to enter the passenger's personal data such as full name and social security number. Finally, the user must confirm the details and make the payment of the reservation, which can be made by credit card or bank slip. The fare varies depending on the number of passengers in the travel group.

4. What are the points of embarkation and disembarkation of the trips?

Because they are chartered transport, buses do not board and disembark within highways, as normally done. The specific point of origin and destination of the route, therefore, may vary according to the user's itinerary. Details about each can be seen in the route information for a particular travel group.

Even if a user creates a group, he can only set the embarkation and disembarkation locations from the options granted by the application itself.

5. What is the cost of the trip?

As the fare is defined based on the bus cost sharing between the passengers on the trip, the price to be paid by the user may vary. In the first use of the app, for example, the user pays $ 10, whatever the destination and the amount of the apportionment. According to Buser, the collective charter system gives the user a savings of up to 40% compared to the common road transport system.

The price change may reach maximum and minimum apportionment values. The maximum charge is when the total freight cost is divided by the minimum number of passengers required to confirm a trip. Already the minimum value is the total cost divided by the maximum number of passengers possible on a trip. These values may also change according to the type of service offered by the transportation (executive, bed or bed).

If the user pays the maximum apportionment and, in the end, the closed amount is the minimum, he receives the difference in credits in his application account for use on new trips. You can also receive credits by inviting friends to access the platform.

6. Is there a refund for unverified trips?

If a trip is canceled by Buser, for lack of passengers or for any other unforeseen event, the user who made the reservation and the payment for the unconfirmed trip will be refunded in full. In case of cancellation of the passenger himself, the refund will be granted only for trips canceled 1h before the departure time.

In either case, no fines or fees are charged, and refund credits are available to the user on your account within the app. He can choose whether to use them to make a new reservation or transfer it to a bank account.

7. What are the rules for traveling with pets and children?

The rules of the app are very strict regarding the transport of children up to six years old. For any type of journey or bus, they must travel in their own seats and with the help of a baby car seat. For the stand to be used, I need to occupy an armchair in its entirety, which requires the purchase of a full ticket for small passengers.

According to Buser, the use of the safety instrument is not mandatory in these cases, but the company preferred to use it as a rule when traveling for safety reasons. It is not yet allowed to transport pets on trips offered by Buser.
