THE Western Digital today announced two new features (1, 2) for Mac users, in terms of data storage.
The first a new product, the My Book VelociRaptor Duo.
It is a set with two HDDs of 1TB each running at 10,000RPM, totally focused on performance with Thunderbolt interface and options RAID 0 (for speed) and RAID 1 (for data protection).
My Passport has been updated.
Very portable, it now comes with USB 3.0 connectivity available in versions from 500GB to 2TB, perfect for the latest generation Macs.
The My Book VelociRaptor Duo has a suggested retail price of $ 900, while the My Passport line ranges from $ 100 to $ 200. All products are sold with a three-year limited warranty.
