THE watchOS it’s a great system, but it’s still a few steps away from being complete. Despite all advances in the operating system of the Apple Watch, the lack of some features is evident – some of them, even, that already exist on iOS.
Thinking about some of the things I’d like to see in the next big update, Matt Birchler (our acquaintance) released a new concept for the watchOS 7, which includes some of the features most requested by users. Let’s check it out?
Activity rings
Birchler would like that in watchOS 7, Apple would not only allow the user to personalize the rings in the Activity app, but also add new options – but always keeping three highlighted, due to the watch interface.
Web Activity Page
According to Birchler, the chances of Apple creating a web interface for users to keep up with the highlights and the development of its Activity app goals are slim; still, he says it would be great to see that data on iCloud.com.

With that, it would be possible to download the information in a CSV file (like contact lists and / or events in your calendar) to use and share it however you want – after all, it is your data.
Communication improvements
As highlighted by Birchler, in 90% of cases, whoever has the watch sees a notification on it and, immediately afterwards, picks up the iPhone to answer it. This could be different if Apple expanded the communication capabilities of the watch, either by creating better suggestions for personalized responses and, as already seen on the Shift Keyboard, the implementation of the “Suggestions” feature, which tries to “predict” what the user wants to write .
Third-party dials
Here, nothing new under the sun. Watch owners (and many developers) have been calling for Apple to allow anyone to create watch faces for years.
For Birchler, Apple could, alternatively, create a new type of tool that would allow the user to create their own display. While it is possible to do this with the native options (from Apple), it might be more interesting to give everyone complete freedom to choose any type of complication and design – and not something pre-defined.

Similarly, the 9to5Mac made a list of their main suggestions (and wishes) for watchOS 7. Among the guesses, they highlighted an option that would make it possible to adjust the Apple Watch display based on the time and / or location of the user. Currently, some types of dials already have this technology, but not in its potential.
