We recently commented that the Apple Watch does not have a “basic” security feature present on iPads and iPhones / iPods touch: o Activation Block (Activation Lock), which is reportedly decreasing theft of iPhones in several cities. Because the watchOS 2, presented today by Apple, promises to solve that.
Protect your watch with the Activation Lock.
WatchOS 2 includes Activation Lock, a new security feature. Activating your watch requires your iCloud Apple ID and password, so if your Apple Watch is lost or stolen, your information remains secure.
The description on the page1 in preview of the new system makes it clear that the problem (lack of a feature like this) has definitely been solved.
