watchOS 2 is now available to Apple Watch owners; learn how to update!

The prediction was that the watchOS 2 it would be released to everyone last Wednesday, but Apple discovered a last-minute bug and postponed its release that just happened! The final build was 13S344, while GM was 13S343.

We have new dials (Time-lapse, Photo and photo album), complications of third-party applications (such as the Nubank app, which is already compatible with this feature), Time Travel feature (run the Digital Crown to see what has happened and what is still going on happen), Bedside Mode (digital display that lights up when you touch the screen, the Digital Crown or the side button), native apps (which now run on the watch itself and no longer on the iPhone), opening several APIs (application programming interfaces, or application programming interfaces) for developers, possibility to answer emails by the watch itself, more contacts in the Friends feature, more versatility for Siri, the arrival of the Activation Block and more!

How to update

Keeping your Apple Watch up-to-date is very simple: make sure you have at least 50% battery life on your Apple Watch and connect the device to the charger (it must necessarily be charging during the entire update installation process). Connect your iPhone that necessarily needs iOS 9 installed to a Wi-Fi network, open the Apple Watch app, choose the My Watch tab and go to General Software Update.

If prompted, enter your iPhone and / or Apple Watch password. Wait for the Apple logo with a circular progress bar to appear on the watch. When the update is finished, your Apple Watch will restart.

According to analyst firm App Annie as disclosed by TechCrunch , currently there are more than 11,500 applications compatible with Apple Watch.

As we know that what differentiates such a product, mainly, its ecosystem, let's hope that many of them also get an update to take advantage of the new watchOS news (possibility to offer complications, access to the different sensors of the watch, etc.) . If developers do their homework, the possibilities are now much greater!
