Confirming numerous rumors of the past few days, Apple has just announced the AirPods Pro – and, as expected, they enter as a new member of the “family”, bringing active noise cancellation and a promise of sound superior to the normal model.
The final design is well within what had leaked recently, that is, we are talking about headphones of the type intra headset (with a part that enters the ear canal). In the product box, there will be three different sizes – small, medium and large – of the silicone tip, which in itself provides good sound insulation.

Apple says the New design AirPods Pro not only provides greater comfort, but also brings a new ventilation system to equalize the pressure that is commonly felt in other in-ear headphones. They are also resistant to sweat and water (IPX4 rating).
The technology of active noise cancellation AirPods Pro uses two microphones combined with advanced software that works in real time analyzing the environment where the person is. This analysis occurs 200 times per second, according to Apple.
In an opposite situation, anyone in an environment that needs attention can activate the transparency mode – which keeps playing music or calls on AirPods Pro, but captures all the sound around you (very suitable for those who use headphones walking on the street, for example). Switching between the two modes is very simple: just press and hold the AirPods Pro “little leg”, which can also be used to control track playback or answer calls.
THE system-in-package (SiP) of AirPods Pro has the chip H1 at its core, being the working brain of all the technology embedded in the product – including always listening to the command “Hey there, Siri”, one of the new features that arrived a few months ago with the second generation AirPods.
Apple promises the “same great battery life” as AirPods, that is, 5 hours playing music. With active noise cancellation enabled, it will be 4:30 am playback and up to 3:30 am conversation. Their wireless charging case provides up to an extra 24h of playback or 18h of conversation. And, it is worth noting, the cable included with the product is now Lightning for USB-C.
On top of this, Apple says the AirPods Pro will have a kind of test for the user to determine which size of silicone tip is best suited for their ear and they obviously support the newly launched audio sharing feature. With iOS 13.2, they will be able to advertise and read messages as they arrive.
In fact, speaking of iOS 13.2, it is a minimum requirement for AirPods Pro – that is, the update should be released sometime between today and this Wednesday. The same applies to iPadOS 13.2, to watchOS 6.1, to tvOS 13.2 and to macOS Catalina 10.15.1.
AirPods Pro will reach the international market this Wednesday (10/30), per $ 250 in the United States. Prices on previous models have not changed: $ 160 for second generation AirPods and $ 200 for second generation AirPods with the wireless charging case (which is sold separately for $ 80).
At the Brazil, we already have a set price for AirPods Pro: R $ 2,250 (but, for now, they are unavailable for purchase as they will probably have to be approved by Anatel). The prices of the previous ones were also unchanged: R $ 1,350 for normal and R $ 1,680 for the model with wireless charging case.
