VLC application is now available on tvOS, the new Apple TV operating system

VLC for Apple TV also has a feature called Remote Playback, a personalized way to view media stored on other computers using a web browser. Simply drag / drop one or more files into the browser to play them on Apple TV, copies will remain available on cache location of the device in question.

For future versions, those in charge want to integrate VLC with services such as Dropbox, OneDrive and Box (this feature is in beta today).

Let's hope that more and more apps like this are released to tvOS, making Apple TV increasingly interesting.
