Vivo's new gamer smartphone will charge full battery in 15 minutes

Gamer smartphones have gained more and more space in the market and, in the case of the Chinese Liveyour line iQOO represents the company's technology in the segment. As the information indicates, we will soon have news from this company – packaged in a likely new cell phone – that promises incredibly fast battery charging.

A video published on the official iQOO page on Weibo, a very popular social network in China, shows a new device using the solution of fast charging with 120W wire that the company announced in June. Following what we see on the video, this technology can fully recharge a 4,000mAh battery in 15 minutes, in addition to reaching 50% in just five minutes. Check it out below:

If the promised times really reach users, Vivo will gain a good advantage when it comes to charging technologies in the smartphone market. That's because battery life continues to be largely limited by the physical size of the modules – so many companies focus on offering full charging in the shortest possible time.

In China, the device was launched for 4,298 yuan – about $ 600

Of course, we still don't know how efficient this Vivo 120W charging technology is, and the Chinese company is not the only one investing in something like that. THE Oppo, for example, is also working on a fast loading solution for 125W to be revealed tomorrow, July 15th. The fact is not so curious that both Vivo and Oppo are properties of BBK Electronics.

Vivo's new device is expected to be officially presented next month, August.
