Google announced today that users of the Google Street View service are now able to take a virtual tour of the São João Batista cemetery in Rio de Janeiro, known for having “Brazilian tombs that have marked national history”.
Among the tombs that can be visited without leaving the computer, cell phone and tablet are Carmen Miranda, Tom Jobim, Cazuza, Vicente Celestino. Luis Carlos Prestes, Santos Dumont, Janete Clair, Nelson Rodrigues, Glauber Rocha.
“Part of the history of each of these personalities can be found there and, as of today, can also be found by anyone, anywhere in the world, at any time – and for free – through Google Street View,” he published Gabriela Manzini, Communication Manager at Google Brazil.
