Google has announced that users of Google Maps Views can now view and enjoy a collection of Photo Spheres that have been made inside the largest particle physics laboratory in the world, located in northwest Geneva, on the Franco-Swiss border.

“CERN has opened its doors to Google Maps Street View allowing anyone, anywhere in the world, to take a look at its laboratories, control centers and underground tunnels for countless avant-garde experiences. Street View also allows scientists working on experiments, who may be on the other side of the world, to explore the equipment being used, ”published Pascale Milite, from Google Street View.

The company also disclosed that the teams from Google Zurich took two weeks to capture all the images, during the year of 2011, in a joint work with the CERN teams.
