Visit a Royal Navy submarine through Google Street View

Google Maps users can now virtually visit retired British submarine HMS Ocelot via Google Street View. He is the first submersible to be fully mapped on the Google service.

“A submarine is a strange example of our work,” said one of Google’s technicians who worked on the project. “We always have to follow Google’s guidelines. The user must not be able to click through doors or windows, they must follow a straight line of sight ”.

HMS Ocelot was a class of hybrid submarine with electric and diesel engines and was launched into the sea in 1962. After spending almost 30 years in activity by the Royal Navy, the vessel became a museum.
