Video: thieves break into Apple store twice in the same week to steal iPhones

A few days ago we posted on our Instagram a news about an assault on Apple Palo Alto; the topic was also commented on On Air # 208 and shows us that bad things don't just happen in Brazil, as many people think. And it doesn't matter if we are talking about a small / residential city, like Palo Alto, or in big centers, like San Francisco.

Finally, the local police released a video gathering two cases of robberies to a Ma store (apparently Apple Chestnut Street) to see if the images help to identify and capture the miscreants.

Do you know that robbery scheme that we have already shown here, in which the criminals enter the store and in a few seconds clean the table that primarily has exposed iPhones? So, the tactic here was the same.

In both cases, we see two relatively small groups all properly hooded to hide their identity. The curious / sad that we are talking about two robberies to the same store with an interval of only four days (25 and 29 of November). Note that, in the second episode, a brave passerby even tries to prevent the thieves from leaving the store, but is quickly guided by an Apple employee to let the marginals heal (correct attitude, after all, they are "only" material goods and there is no reason) to take the risk of being shot or something).

According to CNET, Apple 4th Street was stolen (in the same way) three times in just nine days!

What do thieves do with these stolen devices? Obviously, regardless of whether or not these stores have implemented that system that leaves iPhones exposed without the security lock / cable, the company knows exactly which units are on top of store tables and can easily lock these devices, transforming them in paper weight.

Things are not easy
