Video: highlights from Apple's Jeff Williams interview at Code Conference

Earlier today we published an article with the highlight of the interview of Jeff Williams senior vice president of operations for Apple at the Code Conference: he announced that at WWDC 2015, a preview of the full Apple Watch SDK for developers.

But the interview was not just about the clock. Other points covered and shown in the video above:

  • The cases of suicdio at Foxconn. Williams said that at the time they occurred, he and Tim Cook personally traveled to China to investigate the case and determined that their cause had nothing to do with working conditions. In addition, the overall suicide rate would be lower than that of the United States as a whole.
  • Summary of the benefits of the ResearchKit. In a short time, the app focused on Parkinson's disease brought an alarming fact: some volunteer participants showed signs of the disease and did not even think they were carrying it!
  • “The car is really the ultimate mobile equipment,” commented Williams, adding fuel to the fire in rumors about a Apple vehicle. But he may have simply referred to CarPlay, of course.

Williams also commented in the interview that if someone piled up the 74 million iPhones sold in the first fiscal quarter of 2015, they would have something higher than the International Space Station.
