Comparative videos between two devices are always complicated. Many of you disagree with how these tests are performed, but it is undeniable that they give us a good idea of the differentials of each device.
The channel SuperSaf TV, on YouTube, often make good comparisons by tapping into many camera features from the industry's leading releases. The ball now couldn't be different: a battle between the iPhone 7 Plus it's the Galaxy Note8.
It is worth watching the comparison (video above). Below, to make things easier, here is a table of results (based on my opinion):
Audio capture quality (microphone)
Front Camera Stabilization
4K footage with wide angle camera
4K footage with the telephoto camera
Wide-angle camera stabilization
Stabilization of the telephoto camera
Selfie low light
Selfie with flash
Photo with wide-angle camera
Photo with telephoto camera
Blurred background photo
Interior photo with wide angle camera and low illumination
Exterior photo with wide angle camera and low illumination
Interior shot with wide-angle camera, low illumination and flash
As we know, Note8 now has a very similar dual camera that we find on iPhone 7 Plus, so the comparison becomes even more interesting.
It may even sound like justifying the “wash” that the iPhone took, but we can't help but note that unlike the Galaxys S8 and S8 + (which were released March 6 months after the iPhones 7/7 Plus), the Note8 was introduced to the world by Samsung last week, very close to the release of the "iPhone 8 / Edition / Pro / X".
So it would make a lot more sense to compare the Note8 with the future iPhone we will meet on September 12th. Let's wait.
