Even though it is a serious matter, some users are taking advantage of the challenge to make the quarantine period lighter, posting jokes and memes about voluntary confinement. Some of them depict bored people trying to find unusual activities to combat boredom, making the video funny. Others prefer to play games with rolls of toilet paper, an item that caused controversy when stored in large quantities by some people. Some even published videos doing exercises and even embassies with the rollers.

The challenge would have taken on greater proportions after American college student Ava Louise appeared licking the seat of an airplane toilet in a video published with the hashtag on March 16 on her TikTok account. It is not known when the young woman recorded the video, or under what hygiene circumstances the scene was recorded. Even so, the image was quite repudiated on the Internet. According to the American press, her desire when recording the video was precisely to go viral, which would be cause for celebration for the young woman.

Despite all the repercussions, the Coronavirus Challenge followed a more informative and humorous path, and, apparently, there are no records of other people repeating the act of influencing.
