Users begin to be notified of limited Apple TV + offer

THE Apple started sending notifications push to remind users who recently purchased iPhones, iPads, iPods touch, Macs or Apple TVs to redeem one year free Apple TV +.

As we explained earlier, the company announced the offer last year, stating that users who purchased any of the gadgets mentioned above can redeem one year of free service streaming of videos, launched last November.

The fact is that the offer is not automatically activated when you buy a new device; in this case, the user must subscribe to Apple TV + and, at the end of the request, they will see that they are entitled to the offer. In addition, Apple provides only three months (after activating the device) for the user to redeem the promotion – and how this deadline is running out for many who purchased their new gadgets before or on November 1, the company decided to alert those who have not yet activated it.

Apple TV + offer notification

Expiring Soon: Your Free Apple TV Year +Your recent purchase includes Apple TV +. You must redeem your code within 90 days after activating the device.

In this sense, if your device was activated between September 10 and November 1, 2019, the three months started counting from the Apple TV + launch date (November 1). Likewise, a customer who buys a new Apple product today can activate the offer at any time until April 15th.

Remember that the offer is (obviously) limited. Therefore, as of November, many users will start to be charged R $ 9.90 per month (or R $ 99.90, in the annual modality) for the service. If you want to cancel your subscription today to avoid future charges, please be aware that this will also stop your free trial and you will not be able to obtain it again.

If you signed up for Apple TV + after November, you can check the exact date when the free trial will end on the iPhone at: Settings »Apple ID [seu nome] »Subscriptions.

According to 9to5Mac, some users are being notified of the offer even though they haven’t purchased any Apple products recently. This has caused some confusion online, as some are afraid that this is some kind of fraud. However, everything appears to be, in fact, a mistake on the part of Apple (that is, nothing malicious). If you receive an email / notification about the service, take the opportunity! ?
