United Nations uses Minecraft to make young people aware of COVID-19

The United Nations and Microsoft have partnered to use the famous Minecraft game as a communication platform on the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim is to make the younger community aware of the danger of contagion from the coronavirus.

The use of the game is part of the UNDP (United Nation Development Program) program, which consists of sharing three essential recommendations: using techniques to wash your hands properly, maintaining social distance and learning the measures you should take in case you experience symptoms of the disease.

Despite the partnership using the Minecraft ecosystem, the communication will be made on the game's social networks, the same channels where news of updates from this universe are shared. The measure mainly encourages parents to use the video game as an aid in communicating for the danger of the coronavirus, motivating young people to discuss the topic among friends.
