Unable to sell clones of Macs, Psystar begins permanent closure of its operations

One of Psystar’s lawyers today announced to theDow Jones Newswires that she started the process of closing her business after being hindered by the justice of selling clones of Macs. The sentence came out this week, ending a lawsuit filed in 2008 by Apple, which is still expected to receive $ 2.7 million from its rival.

Psystar facade

Even though it is able to market PCs with other systems, the company has already taken down its website and plans to fire all employees. Apparently, she could still continue with her other lawsuit to defend the legitimacy of the Rebel EFI, her software used to install Mac OS X on non-Apple machines, but apparently she doesn't intend to fight for it anymore.

Judging that the ultimatum of justice requires Psystar to end the sale of clones by December 31, it is unlikely to pass that day.
