Uber Eats: 'You don't qualify for this promotion' and other issues | Productivity

Messages like "you are not eligible for this promotion" or "we are not available at the moment" are common when using Uber Eats, Uber's food delivery application. Errors that prevent the app from working or even problems with orders that were undeliverable or unduly charged may affect Android and iPhone (iOS) users.

Depending on the situation, the failure can be resolved quickly by confirming the Internet connection or by checking the status of the platform. In more specific cases, such as ordering issues, you may need to trigger Uber Eats technical support. THE dnetc prepared a list of common app issues and how to fix them.

1. Promotional code doesn't work

In some cases, the message "You do not qualify for this promotion" may appear when you enter a promotional code. It is important to know that only coupons can be used once. To check if a non-working code has been used, click on your profile icon and select "Promo". A history should be displayed under "Previous Promotions".

Other important information that promotional codes only work if applied prior to placing the order. In addition, some promotions are restricted for certain situations, such as new users or minimum value purchases, for example.

2. Application does not work

If the Uber Eats application does not work, I need to detect if the problem is with the device connection or company system. Make sure your mobile data is turned on or your device is connected to a Wi-Fi network with Internet access. If so, the failure may be from the platform itself.

The website (downdetector) has a section specific to Uber issues, which includes the transport app and Uber Eats. The page brings user complaints and generates a graph of service instability. In this case, you need to wait until the application works again.

3. Amount paid in cash was excessive

Normally, when an order gets larger than expected, it is offset by the negative balance in the user's account. If the customer has a pending cash payment for a Uber trip or Uber Eats purchase, the amount due is added to the current order price.

If the customer has no negative balance and the order value is still higher, you may need to contact technical support by email (helpeats@uber). The app also provides a "Help" section, where the user can follow a few steps to resolve issues directly in the app.

Under "The amount charged to my order paid in cash was excessive", the customer can report the difference between the amounts and wait for a return from Uber Eats.

4. Order taking longer than expected

If your order did not arrive within the maximum waiting time, you can check its status directly in the app. If you prefer, the user can also contact the courier to find out the reason for the delay.

On the purchase page, touch the phone that appears in the upper right corner of the screen. Then choose whether to call or text. You can only contact the delivery man after he has placed the order from the restaurant.

5. Incomplete or Incorrect Order

To resolve issues related to a delivery that has already been made, you may need to contact technical support by phone or email (helpeats@uber) and explain what happened. It is valid to take a picture of the product received.

You can also contact us through the "Help" menu, but the option to call support may be a faster solution.
