Betting on the usability potential that Windows 7 is expected to bring to notebooks with a touch screen and multi-touch, JP Sá Couto has already placed its first on the market netbook tablet with touch screen. The Tsunami Jumper integrates an Intel Atom N270 processor at 1.60Ghz and costs 449 euros.
It is with this same model that the company intends to be at the forefront of manufacturers to integrate the new operating system from Microsoft, as TeK had already written last week.
For now, still with Windows XP, upgradable to Windows 7 when it is released, the Tsunami Jumper has an 8.9 inch TFT screen and integrates 1 GByte of DDR2 RAM and a 60 GByte disk. The weight is 1.3 kg and the netbook has been on sale since the end of last week.
Ricardo Mendonça, Tsunami Product Manager, had told TeK that he expects this netbook make room for new applications in the tablets, especially at a professional level, also exploring the low price of the equipment.
Although the price of Windows 7 in direct sales has not yet been defined and OEM manufacturers say they do not yet know the value of licenses, JP Sá Couto has already fixed the price of the Tsunami Jumper at 499 euros when it is marketed with the new Microsoft operating system .
