Try Android 4.2 on your smartphone!

Little by little, new apps and delights about Android 4.2 are emerging. Last week we explained how to download the Jelly Bean 4.2 camera pan, we also showed other system elements such as wallpapers, sounds and others. Now, thanks to an XDA-Developers user, we can download the first full package of this version of the Google OS. THE Android 4.2 Transformatioin Pack brings all these elements to make your device look like the new version of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Downloading Android 4.2 Transformation Pack, we can find the following features of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean:

  • Camera Photo Sphere
  • New Gallery
  • Android 4.2 Keyboard – Gesture Typing
  • Clock / Stopwatch
  • Install App (Phonesky.apk)
  • Lanador with background images
  • The new Gmail
  • Google Ears
  • Nexus 4 lock screen (but no widgets)
  • Google Now / Google Play on Android 4.2

The Android 4.2 watch and default launcher look great on the Galaxy S3.

All you need for your Galaxy S3 – or any other device – to look like, install Android 4.2 Transformation Pack (link above) and have previously rooted your device. I believe most of you know how to proceed with the installation, but for those who still have questions, here is a quick guide:

  • Start Costum-Recovery
  • Make a backup – backup
  • Transformation Pack Flash
  • Clear Cache

Now time to restart your smartphone. The developer has clarified that this package works with any Android 4.0 Deodexed ROM. The installation on the Samsung Galaxy S3 was done without problems. I also have the package installed on a rooted Galaxy Nexus and even using a Stock ROM (Odexed on Deodexed), and it caused me some problems, so, I recommend making a backup before.

Hope this helps! Don't forget to share with us your experience with this Android 4.2 feature pack in the comments below.
