READ: Google has a secret function that makes life easier; know how to use
With a simple command and a few clicks, the user can quickly translate cells and columns, making it easy to work with a large data set without having to manually copy and paste the content into an external service. The only requirement is that source and target languages be supported by the Google translation platform. Here's how to use the browser function.

Step 1. Open Google Sheets in browser preferably in Google Chrome. Since you want to translate from Portuguese to English, create a column with all the terms you want to translate, one in each cell. At the top of the column, indicate Portugus as the original language. You can also open a previously created spreadsheet in Excel;

Step 2. In the right column, type English at the top before you start translating. This helps to keep the data organized but not required to apply the formula. Then select the cell next to the first term to be translated and type = googletradutor (without quotes) and click the button to enter the translation command;
